Winning Statement of Miss South Africa 2023 Natasha Joubert

I stand yet because I was given a second chance, a second chance at my dreams and goals, and as your next Miss South Africa, I pledge to work tirelessly for those in need of a second chance. South Africa is facing so many social issues and the base of this is education. Education should never be a privilege limited to the fortunate few. I know what it's like to be financially excluded and I know many of my South Africans standing here tonight, know what it feels like. Standing here, I have already secured 1.2 million South African Rand in bursaries for those in need of a second chance. So tonight, I encourage government officials, people in positions of power to come together. So that we can give our generation an equal chance to education. So that we can propel this nation forward. Thank you so much.

Top 5 Question asked by Miss Universe 2022 R'Bonney Gabriel: Do you believe it's more important to ask a child who they want to be when they grow up or what problems they want to solve?
Definitely, who they want to be when they grow up because it's not a child's responsibility to seek solutions for damage that our generation has done. We are in charge to cultivate our transformational leaders and to cultivate those mindsets. Thank you.

Top 3 Final Question: What aspects of South African culture and Heritage, do you believe should be highlighted more on the global stage?
We need to realize that our strength is in our diversity and our shared humanity is what brings us together we are only as strong as we are united and as weak as we are divided. I know that you can't walk a ride alone. South Africa, you have played a critical role in the women's standing here tonight. I am ready to serve you and I am because we are.
